Researchers
- Professional researchers in the field of Korean literature and culture at home and abroad
- The researchers of the OCKS consist of experts in Korean culture, classical/modern literature, language, and language education.
- 10 domestic co-researchers, 4 overseas co-researchers, 6 full-time researchers, 14 overseas expert advisors, 8 supervisors, 7 translators, and 11 research assistants are participating in the OCKS.
- The grand total of 25 research participants (including overseas advisors) are based across 12 foreign universities.
- Experts specialized in online content production
- The online course design coordinator and the course production specialists will participate in the project as a full-time researcher and co-researchers, respectively.
- Through their expertise, the OCKS will aim to enhance the professionalism of course presentation and its production systems.

- Annual Themes for the Online Courses
- These annual themes will unify the various courses while preserving their individuality and uniqueness.

- These annual themes will unify the various courses while preserving their individuality and uniqueness.
- Specialized surveys in order to determine course curriculum, course ratios, and course operation strategies
- The OCKS will produce courses in Korean language, contrastive analysis (Korean and another foreign language), and pedagogy based on the results of a survey for overseas demand.
- For the first year, the ratio of general to regional courses, beginner/intermediate/advanced courses, literature and languages courses, and courses conducted in foreign languages will all reflect the results of a survey conducted by co-researchers and advisors abroad.
- Future course development plans will rely on opinions from student surveys, overseas trend analysis, international academic conferences, and academic forums for emerging researchers.
- Courses utilizing micro-learning methodology
- Each course will offer 10 lectures, with each lecture consisting of 6 units (12 minutes each).
- Course material will be produced in a concise form, with a focus on enhancing accessibility to audiences.
- A specialized translation system
- A team of experts in Korean studies will conduct and supervise the English translation of the courses.
- Native experts in Chinese will translate the courses and oversee translations where their expertise is required.
- The translation process will consist of experts who have both specialized knowledge in Korean studies and native-level translation skills to ensure high-quality subtitles in target languages.
- A two-track feedback system to monitor course quality
- Different specialist teams will oversee the quality of the original course materials and their translations.
- A supervising committee, consisting of renowned domestic researchers in each field, will monitor the quality of the original lectures.
- Native-level experts in Korean studies will supervise the translation of lectures
- This two-track monitoring system aims to minimize any inaccuracies in advance.
- Workshops to support instructors and lecturers
- The OCKS will provide workshops for the instructors and lecturers in order to improve the quality of courses. They will give guidance on lecture preparation and guidebook publication.
- The Course Production Workshop, The Curriculum Review Workshop, and The Guidebook and Source-book Production Workshop are a few of many workshops planned throughout the year.
- A collaboration of experts for content production
- Video production experts, coordinators specializing in online educational content, overseas Korean studies scholars, and instructors will collaborate in order to guarantee a streamlined and effective content production system.
- Through this system, the OCKS will actively coordinate activities starting from the very first stage of production in order to produce specialized content deemed necessary by each course.
International Exchange Plan

- The conferences will serve to identify the latest trends in Korean studies around the world.
- Researchers will have an opportunity to share recent developments in Korean studies research and education.
- They will also serve as opportunities to establish an academic network of researchers and educators around the world.
- The conferences will streamline networks in course production and the publication of research monographs and primary source booklets.

- Academic forums will provide practical aid for education and research in the field of Korean studies.
- The opinions of emerging researchers specializing in Korean studies overseas will be fully integrated into future course production and operation strategies.
- Establishment of a global Korean literature education and research council
- The council will aim to efficiently produce and distribute courses across the global network.
- The OCKS plans to form a consultative body with more than 30 schools in 20 countries over 5 years.
- The council will collect feedback on content and utilize it in future course development.
- Locally customized seminars and lecture series overseas
- Starting from the second year, the OCKS will organize at least one seminar and a lecture series on related themes annually.
- The courses for the Global Korean Literature and Language Summer School will be developed in cooperation with universities abroad.
- Students enrolled in online courses provided by the OCKS will have opportunities to obtain credit in their home colleges.
- Student exchange programs with overseas universities
- The OCKS will hold annual meetings and student exchange programs for students abroad.
- It will actively develop internship programs for undergraduate and graduate students in cooperation with universities abroad.
- An online support team will provide academic support for enrolled students.
